Mourning's Lamentation

Everyone is running from death. Some just run harder than others.

Hexblade Warlock. Plenty of Charisma; not a lot of anything else.

As a sign of your time with the Order of the Silent Shroud, you have been presented with a Silent Shroud (as scroll of protection from undead)

In another life, Mourning’s Lamentation was a vapid noble in Baldur’s Gate, until he ran afoul of a cultish sect worshiping Mrykul. Left to die in the streets with a broken assassin’s blade still in his gut, Lamentation was struck with a vision of the eternal torment of undeath. In desperation, he made a pact with the malignant intelligence of the weapon slowly draining away his life. Revived, but still terrified for his immortal soul, Lamentation spent his fortune reforging the cursed blade into a sword in the image of Fatal Touch and binding it in an enchanted scabbard. He devoted himself to the worship of Kelemvor and the eradication of undead, to save others from the fate that nearly consumed him.

I see omens in every event and action. The gods try to speak to us, we just need to listen.

Aspiration. I seek to prove myself worthy of my god’s favor by matching my actions against his teachings.

I seek to preserve a cursed weapon that my enemies consider sacred and seek to empower.

I am suspicious of strangers and expect the worst of them.
